ACCESSORIZING THOSE LOCS

Dreadlocks were once a specific culture-driven hairstyle. Styles have changed and locs are more widely accepted throughout all diversities. Dreadlocks and faux locs are now giving rise to all ethnicities with the opportunity to be a part of it.  To rock these styles one must know how to properly accessorize their tresses.

3 TIPS ON HOW TO ACCESSORIZE YOUR FAUX LOCS

When it comes to accessorizing, it really doesn’t matter if you have dreadlocks, faux locs, crochet faux locs, crochet hair braids, or twists.  Why?  Because there are three main ways to accessorize your hair and all hair types can utilize these to their fullest extent…

1.  ADD MORE HAIR

When you don’t got it, you can get it. Hair extensions are a beautiful thing and loc extensions are lifesavers.  There are many reasons one would want to add more hair, and here are the reasons why:

VOLUME

Sometimes you want to change up those thin curly hairs with some crochet braids to construct a fuller look.  If you have straight hair, don’t be scared to throw in some volume by adding a few kinky twists or passion twists into the hair mix. One fun way to accomplish this is to simply grab a hold of your locs and twist hair to create a single loc braid.

LENGTH

If you have short hair or none at all, you can always add hair long hair. With new sizes and better attachment techniques the choices of sizes are limitless. Click here for more information on short faux locs, medium faux locs, and long faux locs

SAVE TIME

Working for a 1/3 of the day, sleeping the other 1/3, who has time to waste styling our hair to stay fabulous. Adding an already designed loc can save you time and money without sacrificing your personal look.

IMPOSSIBLE LOOKS

Some looks are just too creative to actually be constructed with your real hair. Because of this we have to resort to adding a little little of hair here and there. Don’t worry, it’s just for show.

2. DIFFERENT COLOR

Another idea is to add in different hair colors to achieve a new trending look resulting in faux loc highlights. The color options are endless and are only limited by your imagination. Check out some of our inspirational idea.

A new trending color highlight is emerging. Many hair gurus are giving their best shot at creating the new and very popular burgundy faux locs. Increase the individuality with some dreadlock beads!

Now, if you have dark hair this won’t work for you but that won’t stop you!

Let me tell you, men and women with dark black hair just have it made.  They don’t have to get their hair dyed, and all they have to do is add in a few colors to obtain an entirely new look/hairstyle.

If you are still trying to spice up your look try adding one of our favorite loc color combinations when working with dark or black hair:
