Love it! So many compliments. My hairdresser installed the perimeter to look like traditional box braids and then crocheted the rest in the middle. I put in a bun and used a bonnet every night to avoid tangling like othe reviews mentioned, but it does fray rather quickly. I just trim with scissors on those parts. Only needed 4 of the 6 packs, so one set should be enough for most people.

The colors are amazing! You do have to stretch the pre-loops some to get the rest of the strand through, but I didn’t find it difficult to do. I decide to try the naturally mixed in and I’m so glad that I did. The hair is soft with some nice shine to it and a nice shoulder length. It’s a unique type of loc, so you’ll definitely stand out when wearing them. Absolute fun to try though! This kind of style easily lasts a month or two with minimal care needed. Just tie up at night, fluff n shake in the morning and go! I also like to spritz whatever perfume or body spray I’m wearing for the day on my hair before heading out to keep some extra fragrance wafting during these hot months. The hair holds it well. The hair arrived within two days. It’s super soft and lightweight. Mine didn’t have an odor as others stated. Overall you get enough hair for a full install and it’s worth every dollar. Highly recommended. I was able to get my braider to install my locs with a straight-back cornrow method. She then wrapped my hair at the back with braiding hair to create 5-7 individual locs. I can remember how many rows it was. She then began to use a crochet hook needle with the pre-looped crochet locs and then she tied them off. I think overall the install took 2 1/2 hours. Loved them ten times as much once they were styled. I do a half bun up top and it always gets my compliments. I hope this review helped any of my curious kittens out there thinking about truing these out or trying any protective crochet hairstyle.
